7. Westmeath Local Community Development Committee (LCDC) Membership
One vacancy has arisen in Westmeath LCDC. In accordance with (Section 128C(3)(b)) of the Local Government Act 2001, the nominee shall be appointed to the Committee, without omission or addition, by resolution of the local authority. Nomination has been received from the relevant agency for filling of the vacancy as follows:

Cllr Andrew Duncan:
“That Westmeath County Council writes to Norma Foley, T.D., Minister for Education, to remove the mandatory aspect of secondary level Social Personal and Health Education (SPHE) classes and that the entire SPHE curriculum be reviewed.”

(i) That Budget 2024 meeting dates be scheduled on the following dates:
