9. Recommendation(s) from Corporate Policy Group

1. To approve the draft calendar of County Council and CPG Meetings for 2026

2. To grant civic receptions at district level to the following:
(a)Athlone Town Senior and U19 ladies’ team in recognition of their achievement in winning the FAI Cup and League and U19 league title respectively

(b)Dancezone Moate, in recognition of their recent achievements in winning the following awards:

• Sandra Julian, Artistic Director: Outstanding contribution to Ireland’s Dance Industry Award.
• Musical Theatre Programme of the year Special Recognition Award
• Inclusive Dance Programme of the Year Award

(c) Ronan Charles, Clonmore, in recognition of his recent achievement in winning a silver medal at the European U15 Boxing Championships in Montenegro

 

3. To approve the acceptance by the Cathaoirleach of the invitation from the Westmeath Association in New York , to attend the St. Patrick’s Day parade in New York on the 17 March 2026
