6. To consider the co-option of a person to fill the temporary absence from the Council of Cllr Hazel Smyth in accordance with the Local Government (Maternity Protection and Other Measures for Members of Local Authorities) Act 2022.

12. Motions

Cllr Michael Dollard:

“That Westmeath County Council would carry out a review of the existing scheme of letting priorities for social housing provision in light of the large number of Notices to Quit to private renters who qualify for social housing provision”

13. Recommendation(s) from Corporate Policy Group

i. That the Municipal District of Mullingar Kinnegad confer an Address of Recognition on Reverend Alastair Graham on his upcoming retirement, as resolved at their January 2024 monthly meeting.

ii. That an invitation be extended to H.E. Vincent Guérend Ambassador of France to Ireland to visit Westmeath in 2024.

iii. That the Polish Flag be raised at Áras an Chontae, Mullingar and Civic Offices, Athlone on the 3^rd of May, 2024 in support of its National Day of the Polish Constitution and to illustrate the pivotal and historical connections between Poland and Ireland.
