Westmeath County Council joins #ourcouncilday Twitter Campaign to Raise Awareness of Services
Westmeath County Council is taking part in the #ourcouncilday Twitter campaign today, Tuesday, 10th April, to increase engagement with the public and to raise awareness of the services provided.
Members of the public are encouraged to join in and talk to us about the services provided to your community using the hashtags #ourcouncilday or #ÁrLáSaChomhairle.
Westmeath County Council uses Twitter and other social media channels to enhance our communication, collaboration and information exchange with members of the public, and by partaking in Twitter Day today we hope to engage with even more people and raise awareness of the many different services we provide.
The 2017 campaign was a success with a total of 1,481 accounts that contribute to over 5,000 tweets. Local services such as transportation, housing, arts, heritage, the library services, fire service, civil defence plus many other aspects of the council were highlighted on the day.
Join the conversation today by using #ourcouncilday or #ÁrLáSaChomhairle on Twitter.
