Water Safety across Westmeath: Christmas & New Year Holiday:

In the lead up to the Christmas & New Year holiday period, Water Safety Ireland have issued water safety advice, aimed especially at those who may be organising or taking part in festive charity swims/dips. Please see below.

You, your family, or friends may be out enjoying the outdoors in the beautiful Lake County or visiting other water and coastal locations over the holiday period. That is great…….but think about your safety when in/around the water.

See the Water Safety advice below. Remember: If you see somebody in trouble on the water or along the coast, or think they are in trouble, use Marine VHF channel 16 or Dial 112 and ask for the Coast Guard.
