Ahead of the May Holiday weekend, the Irish Coast Guard, Water Safety Ireland, and the RNLI are urging people to take simple safety precautions when visiting the coast or planning activities on or near the water. This water safety message is aimed especially at those who may using an item of watercraft over the holiday weekend on a river, lake or at the coast.
You, your family, or friends may be out enjoying the outdoors in the beautiful Lake County or visiting other water and coastal locations around the country over the Easter Holidays. That is great…….but think about your safety when in/around the water.
See the Water Safety advice below.
Remember: If you see somebody in trouble on the water or along the coast, or think they are in trouble, use Marine VHF channel 16 or Dial 112 and ask for the Coast Guard.
