Voting in 2019 Local Elections

The Immigrant Council of Ireland (with the support of the Department of Justice & Equality and the Department of Housing, Planning and Local Government) has launched a set of 10 multilingual videos on the rights of immigrants in Ireland to vote in Irish local elections.

All residents in Ireland, regardless of nationality, can vote in, and run for, local elections. To register, print off an RFA2 form from www.checktheregister.ie, bring it to a Garda station to be witnessed, and then return it to Westmeath County Council’s Franchise Section at

Franchise Section,

The video series can be viewed at www.immigrantcouncil.ie/vote
