NOTICE OF PROPOSED DRAFT VARIATION (NO. 2) OF THE
WESTMEATH COUNTY DEVELOPMENT PLAN 2014-2020
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Section 13 of the Planning and Development Acts 2000-2015 that Westmeath County Council is proposing to vary the Westmeath County Development Plan 2014-2020 (Variation No. 2).
The proposed Variation relates to amendments to existing wind energy policy contained in Chapter 10 of Volume 1 of the Westmeath County Development Plan 2014-2020 and arises from the following motion which was adopted by the Elected Members of the Council at the meeting of Westmeath County Council on December 14th 2015:
“That Westmeath County Council amend the Westmeath County Development Plan 2014-2020 to provide for the following separation distances between wind turbines and homes:
The Proposed Variation has been subject to SEA and AA Screening processes. A copy of the proposed Variation (No. 2) of the Westmeath County Development Plan 2014-2020, together with the Strategic Environmental Assessment Screening Report and Determination and the Appropriate Assessment Screening Report will be available for inspection at the offices of Westmeath County Council, Áras an Chontae, Mount Street, Mullingar from Tuesday 31st January to Monday 27th February inclusive between 9.00am to 5.00pm.
The proposed Variation (No. 2) of the Westmeath County Development Plan 2014-2020 is also available for inspection on Westmeath County Council’s website at www.westmeathcoco.ie/planning/itemsonpublicdisplay
Making a Submission / Observation
Written submissions or observations in relation to the proposed Variation should be addressed and marked “Draft Variation (No. 2) to the Westmeath County Development Plan 2014-2020 and submitted to the Administrative Officer, Forward Planning Department, Westmeath County Council, Áras an Chontae, Mount Street, Mullingar by 5.00pm on Monday 27th February 2017.
Submissions or observations may also be made via email to email@example.com. Submissions made via email must include the full name and address of the person making the submission and where relevant, the body or organisation represented.
Written submissions or observations with respect to the proposed Variation (No. 2) of the Westmeath County Development Plan 2014-2020 made to the Planning Department within the above said period will be taken into consideration before the making of a decision on the proposed Variation (No. 2).
