Road safety campaign

Congratulation to Tubberclair GAA who were winners of a €300 sports voucher as part of the road safety initiative held in conjunction with Westmeath County Council, Westmeath Gardai, Westmeath GAA , LGFA and Camogie Associations.

Tubberclair who have had a very successful year both on and of the field were selected from among those clubs who erected road safety signage as part of this initiative.

GAA supporters and players, as road users themselves and young players in particular as drivers of the future, play a key role both in influencing their families and others in promoting road safety. Clubs are encouraged to post images of the signs on social media, tagging the County Council, the GAA, LGFA and Camogie Association, in a bid to spread the message as widely as possible.

If your club wants to request the road safety sign, please contact roads@westmeathcoco.ie
