Polling Day 24 May 2019

On Friday 24 May 2019, the Local and European Elections will be held, along with the Referendum on the Dissolution of Marriage. Polling stations will be open from 7.00am to 10.00pm.

As a result of the County of Westmeath Local Electoral Areas and Municipal Districts Order 2018 (SI 636 2018), the county is now divided into four Local Electoral Areas: Mullingar, Athlone, Kinnegad, and Moate. All registered voters whose polling stations were affected by the boundary changes have been contacted in writing by Westmeath County Council.

Voters are asked to check their polling cards to confirm the location of their polling station.

Individuals who have registered to vote, or updated their voter details, since 1 February 2019 will be on the Supplement to the Register of Electors.

A polling card is not required to vote but voters may be asked to produce photographic ID.

Please contact Westmeath County Council on 044 933 2000 with any queries.
