Fleadh Cheoil Festival Important Information

Important Information Regarding the Upcoming Fleadh Cheoil Festival in Mullingar
The below map details all road closures and emergency access routes. The highlighted zones represent Fleadh car parks, where vehicles travelling to Mullingar will be directed to via traffic management signage. Where one carpark is full, motorists will be directed to the nearest available carpark. Please zoom in on the map to view the different areas marked in accordance with the legend.

" TFI Local Link Longford Westmeath Roscommon will be providing transport services during the Fleadh Cheoil 2022 supported by the local authority Westmeath County Council.

 
Fares: €2 one-way, children travel for free and travel passes will be accepted on these services.
These services will be cash only and we would ask that passengers have the fare ready for the driver.

All TFI Local Link Services will travel as scheduled into Mullingar during Fleadh Week and will terminate at Harbour Place – some delays may occur with our services as traffic volumes increase for the Fleadh. "

Attached is a full version of the updated Fleadh Map for Mullingar Town 04/08/2022. The Map Legend is on the bottom right, and the legend for the carpark is on the top left. The orange lines around the town represent the N4, N52, and R394 roads. The coloured zones represent carparks for the Fleadh. Carpark directions as follows:

Approaching Mullingar on the N4: 
Westbound: The closest carpark is the Yellow Carpark at the Science Park if you exit the N4 at J15.

Eastbound: The closest carpark is the Pink Carpark at Lough Sheever. Exit the N4 at J17.

Approaching Mullingar on the N52: 
Southbound from Delvin Road: The closest carpark is the Green Carpark at St. Loman's GAA or the adjacent Purple Carpark at St. Loman's Hospital.

Southbound from Marlinstown Roundabout to Tullaniskey Roundabout: From Marlinstown Roundabout, the closest carpark is the Yellow Carpark at the Science Park. Towards the Tullaniskey Roundabout, the closest Carpark is the Red Carpark at Quality Tractor Parts (QTP). This depends on where you are on this stretch of road.

N52 Northbound: From Tullamore/Tullaniskey Roundabout, the closest carpark is the Red Carpark at Quality Tractor Parts (QTP). Towards the Marlinstown Roundabout, the closest carpark is the Yellow Carpark at the Science Park. Again, this depends where you are on this stretch of road.

Approaching Mullingar on the R394: 
Westbound from the Tullaniskey Roundabout/Tullamore (N52): The possible closest carparks (subject to the route that you take) in respective order are - the Red Carpark (QTP), the Orange Carpark (Columb Barracks), the Brown Carpark (Glenveagh), the Pink Carpark (Lough Sheever), the Purple Carpark (St. Loman's Hospital), the Green Carpark (St. Loman's GAA), and the Yellow Carpark (Science Park).

Southbound R394 from N4 J17: The possible closest carparks (subject to the route that you take) in respective order are - the Pink Carpark (Lough Sheever), the Brown Carpark (Glenveagh), the Purple Carpark (St. Loman's Hospital), the Green Carpark (St. Loman's GAA), the Orange Carpark (Columb Barracks), the Red Carpark (QTP), the Yellow Carpark (Science Park).

Approaching Mullingar on the R392 (Ballymahon), R390 (Athlone), R391 (Horseleap - Moate): 
Eastbound: The possible closest carpark is the Red Carpark (QTP).

Campsite: Adjacent to Shamrocks GAA.

Emergency Access Routes: Gaol Street to Blackhall Carpark; Harbour Street; Bishops Gate Street (open to residents Sunday - Thursday Midnight - 3pm / Friday - Sunday 4am - 10am)

Taxi Ranks: Circled in red: beside the Greyhound stadium; on Patrick Street; on Harbour Street; at Buckley's Supervalu Carpark.
