A gentle reminder that the deadline for the Westmeath County Council Festival & Events 2026 Grant application is on Thursday, 30th April 2026, at 4:00 PM.

Please submit your application promptly, as late submissions will not be accepted.

This funding is available for community and business groups planning festivals and events in Westmeath throughout 2026 (January to December).

Successful events should:
• Generate increased economic activity for the local area.
• Involve significant voluntary input.
• Be of a scale as to be added to Westmeath’s ‘Calendar of Events’ for 2026 and have potential for future years.
• Attract increased visitor numbers to Westmeath.

Please Note: Types of events that will not be funded include:
• Reunions & local commemorative events
• Annual functions including Club/Christmas parties or social nights out.
• Localised mainstream sporting celebratory events
• Small scale local fundraising events such as fun runs, American tea parties, family fun days etc.
