Westmeath County Council wishes to advise all farmers in the county that farmyard and farmland inspections are being carried out by this council in 2026.
These inspections are undertaken in accordance with the EPA National Agricultural Inspection Programme and are focused on water quality, particularly in areas where waterbodies have the potential to be impacted by agricultural activity.
Westmeath County Council acknowledges the co-operation of the agricultural sector with this work to improve and protect our waters.
