Climate Course

Last night, on Midlands 103 ‘Let's Go Green’ with Zoe Ryan, UN Diplomat and Climate Mentor Jacinta Barrins discussed her upcoming course on climate change, geared at over 55s, taking place in Westmeath. Listen back to the podcast to learn more about Jacinta's voluntary work across the country: https://www.midlands103.com/.../let.../episode/episode-1581/

The free 6 week Beginners Climate Course for the over 55s, will start in County Buildings, Mullingar on Wednesday 14th January 2026. It will run for two hours (10.30am -12.30pm) each Wednesday for 6 weeks. The Course is about helping the 55+ to demystify climate change and focuses on explaining in common language what is climate change and why we are asked to take action. For example, Jacinta will explain the science behind the link between the cup of tea and climate change

Jacinta is targeting those who consider themselves as “beginners” to the topic and is encouraging both men and women to attend for robust conversations. Jacinta gives these courses on voluntary basis around the country.
