Athlone Big Clean-up (ABC) Friday 30th March 2018

Athlone Tidy Towns in partnership with Athlone Living Environment Group & Athlone Municipal District, wish to invite all Residents Associations, Businesses, Sporting Organizations, Schools, and the General Public to join us  and support the Annual Big Clean-up (ABC) of the town on Good Friday next 30thMarch from  11am – 2pm.

The previous two years have been a resounding success with a huge amount of litter collected and there was a great response from everyone.  So once again this is your chance to come out and show civic spirit and pride in your town by volunteering a few hours of your time. Everyone is welcome and your efforts will be most appreciated.

All equipment will be provided from the designated meeting points listed hereunder and collected bags of refuse will be picked up on the same afternoon courtesy of Barna Recycling.  Refreshments will be made available at nominated locations, which will be confirmed on the clean-up day. So do please come out and join us and help to make Athlone clean and litter free.

Meeting Points

The Dock area near the Castle, The Cova  Ballymahon Road, Valleycourt entrance (Bus stop), Coosan Church Carpark, Ashdale, Garrycastle Entrance, Bower Secondary School Entrance, Bright Lights at Talbot Avenue, Apple Green Car park, Battery Heights Bridge, The Grove, St Joseph’s villas and Playground at Parnell Square
