Committees
The elected Council is assisted in its policy deliberations by four Strategic Policy Committees (SPCs). The four SPCs are:

Planning and Transportation SPC |
The Planning and Transportation SPC is made up of council members and sector representatives |
Economic Development, Enterprise and Tourism SPC |
Assists in the Council’s decision making process and to advise on and formulate policy before being considered for adoption by the Elected Representatives of the full Council |
Environment, Climate Action, Water and Emergency Services SPC |
Considers proposals and policy developments in areas concerned with the Environment and the provision of Water Services |
Housing, Community, Corporate and Culture SPC |
Considers proposals and policy developments in areas concerned with the provision of social and affordable housing, estate management, homelessness, library development and services and the Arts |
