Roads, parking and transport

Good transportation infrastructure contributes enormously to the quality of life, providing opportunities for economic development, recreation and connections to facilitate social and cultural activities.

An Annual Programme of Road Works for each district is approved annual by the Municipal District members.

Westmeath County Council consists of two Municipal Districts: Athlone Moate Municipal District and Mullingar Kinnegad Municipal District.

To report issues in respect to roads maintenance, signage, traffic lights, trees, hedges etc. please contact the relevant district office.
