eBooks & eAudiobooks

Increasingly books are being made available in electronic formats, either as eAudiobooks or eBooks.

Westmeath Libraries offers both eAudiobooks  and eBooks  to our members to our members via BorrowBox.

  • To sign up for this service please visit http://library.bolindadigital.com/westmeath and click on “my account”
  • Fill out your barcode and PIN in the spaces provided.
  • You will then be asked to fill out your email address and to agree to the terms and conditions.
  • Congratulations, you are now registered to borrow eBooks &eAudiobooks. Further help is available on the website.
  • You can browse the website or download the app for Andoid/Apple.

If you have any problems please contact your local library, or email us on library@westmeathcoco.ie

You may borrow up to 5 eBooks and 5 eAudiobooks at any one time. If a book is already checked out you may place a reserve. The system will then let you know when it has been returned.

The Open Text Archive of The Internet Archive contains over one million full-text scanned books in the public domain. Some of these are of particular value to those interested in Westmeath's past, and so we have collected a list of eBooks relating to Local Studies

Open Culture

The best free cultural & educational media on the web. This collection features free e-books, mostly classics, that you can read on your iPad/iPhone, Kindle, Nook or other devices. It includes great works of fiction, non-fiction and poetry. It also includes how-to videos to help you load ebooks and use management software such as Calibre

Description: The owner of the ManyBooks.net website, Matthew Mcclintock, says that there are 26,146 ebooks available and that they are all free. There are a wide variety of books and formats to choose from. You can even choose to download some books in an audio format.
