Waste facility permit
Waste Facility Permit/Certificate of Registration.
The Council issue waste authorisations for certain waste recovery activities in County Westmeath. These authorisations are the Waste Facility Permit and the Certificate of Registration.
The activities that may be authorised may include:
- The deposition of soil and stones to raise a site or improve agricultural benefit of the land
- Recycling/Sorting centres
- Authorised Treatment Facilities - Car Dismantling Facilities
It is an offence to deposit waste in a facility or site that does not have a Waste Facility Permit/Certificate of Registration or a Waste Licence (authorised by the EPA).
