Westmeath County Council launched the County Westmeath Digital Strategy 2020 – 2024 at Áras An Chontae, Mullingar on Monday the 19th of October 2020.
The Strategy establishes a vision and roadmap for County Westmeath where Citizen, Business and Visitor, can contribute to, and benefit from, the digital economy and society. The strategy, and its implementation, will deliver new possibilities in how we live, work, and learn in our communities, and reflects our desire to transform the digital landscape of County Westmeath.
The plan contains an initial 39 actions that are on-going, or planned within the Council, covering four key pillars – Infrastructure, Enterprise and Business, Education and Learning and Citizen Engagement.
The Strategy was noted by the Elected members in September 2020, and its content was informed by a public consultation process conducted from November 2019 through to January 2020.
