Using the Library

Becoming a member of the library service is very easy.

To become a member:

Children and Second Level students must have their application forms signed by a parent or guardian as guarantor.

Items can be borrowed for a loan period of 3 weeks. They may be renewed for a further period, by telephone or calling in person, provided the items are not required by another member.

Unwaged & Third Level Students €5.00
Pensioners Free
Children  Free
Students (Second Level) Free


Fines

20 cent per book per week if overdue notices are sent. Any items lost or damaged must be replaced or paid for by members.


Special Requests

Members may request specific titles not in stock. The following charges will be incurred:

Inter Library Loan €10.00


Internet Access

Internet access is provided in all Westmeath libraries.


Charges for Internet usage:
