County Westmeath has 3 designated Bathing Waters. These are at The Cut, Lough Lene; Lilliput, Lough Ennell and Port na Shanagan, Lough Owel.

Environment Section staff organise and carry out extensive environmental monitoring throughout the county. This includes water quality in our rivers and lakes.
