Current Vacancies

Expressions of interest are invited from suitably qualified persons for inclusion on a panel from which offers of employment may be made for the following post:

 

CLERICAL OFFICER

 Salary Scale €21,893 - €37,339 per annum (incl. LSI)

 

Please note that new entrants to the public service will be placed on the minimum of the Clerical Officer pay scale.

Applicants may be short-listed, based on qualifications, relevant experience, and information submitted in their application. Candidates may also be required to take part in a short listing exercise via aptitude test.

Initially candidates are only required to submit a one page expression of interest form. All Applicants will be invited to complete an aptitude test for shortlisting purposes. Candidates succesful at the aptitude test stage will then be required to submit a full application form.

HEAVY VEHICLE MECHANIC APPRENTICESHIP

Westmeath County Council has an Apprenticeship opportunity for persons interested in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics.

The apprenticeship shall be of 4 years duration and consist of on-the-job and off-the-job training and development.

 Minimum age is 16 and the minimum education qualifications are 5 Grade D’s in the Leaving Certificate examination or equivalent, two of which are English and Mathematics.
