The council meetings provide a general forum where your elected representatives discuss issues relevant to the well-being of the county.

Area Committee meetings are convened by the elected representatives of each of the 4 administrative areas of Westmeath County Council

The process to set up Strategic Policy Committees, was started in late 1999, following the local elections.

Town Council meetings are convened by the elected representatives of the Town Council.
