Westmeath County Council Annual Report

The publication of an Annual Report is a statutory requirement under Section 221 of the Local Government Act 2001.  The Report must be published by 30th June each year, and contains particulars of the policies, programmes, services and other activities undertaken by the Council during the course of the previous year.  In particular, it reports on activities under each Directorate setting out objectives achieved, and outcomes delivered, in conjunction with the budgetary provision, and policy objectives of the Council for that year.  The Annual Report also includes a summary financial statement, details of performance indicators, and also includes a summary of activities undertaken by the Mullingar and Athlone Town Councils.  The adoption of the Annual Report is a reserved function of the Elected Members.
