Westmeath County Council Wants Your Views!

Westmeath County Council are preparing a new Economic Development Strategy (EDS) for Ballynacarrigy and need your views! The EDS is currently being developed by KPMG Future Analytics on behalf of WCC.

As part of the consultation process WCC are seeking to develop a comprehensive understanding of specific community and business needs as well as to gather ideas and views on how economic growth in the village can be supported. In pursuing the EDS, WCC aim to:

  • Create further job opportunities and promote economic growth in Ballynacarrigy
  • Further enhance the village;
  • Provide opportunities to reduce travel time for commuters;
  • Contribute to carbon footprint reduction;
  • Facilitate a better work/life balance.

It is anticipated that this Strategy will be utilised by WCC in tailoring and advancing specific actions which will facilitate enterprise and development in a plan-led manner, with a focus on supporting the economic growth of the village.
