Westmeath County Council, in conjunction with the Local Government Management Agency (LGMA) have introduced a new e-Planning system, which aims to modernise the processing and administration of planning applications. 

The new planning system will become a one-stop online service for submitting and tracking development applications and provides an alternative to the current requirement to submit applications in hard copy (including the associated multitude of documents, maps, drawings, newspaper notices, etc.).

Using this system, interested parties and prescribed bodies can also make online submissions on planning applications as well as keeping up to date on applications progress.

The online portal moves the process into an efficient, easy to use and environmentally friendly system with the aim of providing and enhanced planning customer service.
