On Saturday 27 May 2023, Westmeath County Council hosted a Wellness Workshop for elected/potential county councillors in Áras an Chontae, Mullingar. The Workshop was to equip attendees with skills to be resilient & deal with online harassment. Expert presentations were delivered on being aware of the different types of abuse that politicians receive, along with how to build emotional resilience, emotional intelligence, and manage the psychological demands of political life.
