Notice is hereby given that Westmeath County Council has now extended the closure to public traffic, the road’s described hereunder between the dates shown to facilitate works for the Athlone Main Drainage Scheme.
Dates & times to be closed.
06th August 2024 to 23rd August 2024. 24 hours daily.
Roads to be Closed:
The Carrick O’Brien Road(L8006)
Alternative Routes Available:
Golden Island/Carrick O'Brien (L-5413) to R446 to Clonbonny (L-5410) to L-5411 to Carrick O'Brien (L-5412)
Details of diversions for these temporary closures will be signposted and will be made available by contacting the Municipal District of Athlone-Moate Office, Civic Offices, Athlone.
