Successful Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2022
We are delighted with the progress by Westmeath County Council staff in re-opening Mullingar after the hugely successful Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann 2022. A major clean up was carried out from 4am Monday morning to remove litter and sweep the roads and car parks.
All roads are now fully open, and car parks are being re-opened as quickly as possible. The temporary Fleadh car parks are being dismantled. Crews are currently working on the removal of the stages, barriers, toilets, etc. from the remaining car parks. The electronic and static signs on the outer ring and all approach roads are being removed. Signage within the town centre is being removed as quickly as possible. Works are ongoing and are progressing well.
We appreciate and thank the local people for their patience and co-operation throughout the Fleadh and during the ongoing clean-up operations. We also thank everyone who had a role in making it such a successful and positive event.
