We are now in the recovery phase of our response to the pandemic - reopening society and the economy as the vaccination programme progresses.

In line with the Government’s decisions on the easing of restrictions, Westmeath County Council wishes to confirm that:

• Mullingar Swimming Pool and Athlone Regional Sports Centre will reopen for individual training on Monday 7th June 2021. Please contact the pools directly regarding the resumption of swimming lessons.
• Belvedere House Gardens and Park, Athlone Castle and Luan Gallery are now open
• Libraries are open for browsing and borrowing
• All Council playgrounds, play areas, and parks remain open
