Press Release: Well Westmeath Expo

FREE Health, Wellbeing & Activities Event in Belvedere House Gardens & Park on Saturday 10 June 2023 11am to 4pm.
 
Get ready to celebrate all that is healthy and positive about life in County Westmeath as part of this FREE event organized by Healthy Communities & Healthy Westmeath.
 
The picturesque Belvedere House Gardens & Park, Mullingar will host the event on Saturday June 10 2023 from 11am to 4pm, and entry is FREE to both the event and Belvedere House Gardens & Park on the day.
 
Last year over 1800 visitors attended the event and enjoyed dozens of health-related activities for young and old as part of a fun-filled and informative day.
 
Co. Westmeath provides many wonderful opportunities for people to get healthy, stay active, and inspire connections and Well Westmeath will showcase a variety of events and health-related activities including a special Information Village; Music; Dance; Guided Tours; Nature Walks; Fun Exercises & Have a Go at Physical Activities.
 
Information on health, fitness, mental health, stress management will all be available, and we are also proud to be showcasing music and dance performances from local artists and groups on the day.
 
Brigid Geoghegan, Sláintecare Healthy Communities Westmeath Local Development Officer, is encouraging everyone to come along “We are very excited to be hosting anther FREE event at Belvedere House Gardens & Park on Saturday 10 June 2023 from 11am to 4pm highlighting health and wellbeing across Co. Westmeath. This will be a fun, family day out, and we are inviting everyone to join us to enjoy live entertainment, guided tours, nature walks and gentle exercise classes, as well as our extensive information village stands. Well Westmeath also provides everyone who attends FREE access to Belvedere House Gardens & Park.
 
We want to express a huge thank you to everyone who has assisted in any way in getting this family event together including stand holders, tour guides, Emerald Lakes Academy, Music Generation, sporting organisations, Westmeath Sports Partnership and Westmeath County Council. Also, we’d like to say a big thank you to Lidl Mullingar for sponsorship of water and fruit.’’
 
Sarah Mc Manus, Healthy Ireland Westmeath Coordinator, added “This will be a lovely event which could not have happened without the support of many agencies and services including the stand holders and sports tutors and development officers. We hope this event will help people learn more about their own health and wellbeing as well as enjoying the beautiful scenery of the historic Belvedere House Gardens & Park. Big shout out to Emerald Lakes Academy for leading out the entertainment along with Music Generation as part of Cruinniú na nÓg and the National Park & Wildlife Ranger, tour guides and all of the Belvedere staff’.
 
Healthy Communities & Healthy Westmeath wish to thank especially Westmeath County Council for their support and facilitating the event to be held in Belvedere House Gardens & Park and especially free entry to Belvedere for the day; without this support Well Westmeath could not happen.
