Notice is hereby given that Westmeath County Council intends to close to public traffic the roads described hereunder periodically between the dates as shown to facilitate the construction of flood defences in Athlone, Co Westmeath:
Dates to be Closed
Monday 14th February 2022 to Saturday 31st December 2022.
Roads to be Closed:
L8009 & L8010 Clonown road, Athlone.
Alternative Routes Available:
Alternative access will be via the L80073 Springwell Road, L8007 St. Anne’s Terrace, L8008 Canal Banks, L8011 Deer park Road and vice versa.
Any person who wishes to object to the closing of these roads should lodge such objection in writing with District Administrator, Municipal District of Athlone-Moate, Civic Centre, Church Street, Athlone, not later than 4 p.m. on Wednesday 2nd February 2022.
