The works began on Monday 31st May 2021 and last for a period of 4 weeks. In order to carry out the works safely there will be a number of closures required, reduced temporary speed limits and short diversions put in place.

 

The majority of diversions are up and overs at junctions, closing the section of the N4 between an off and on slip at a junction, so traffic is diverted up the off slip and back down the on slip.

 

A summary of the works next week, with respect to closures, speed reduction and subsequent diversions is provided below:

 

Tuesday 8th June (07:00 to 19:00) – N4 EB and WB Hard Shoulder Running between Junction 16 & 17 – 60kph Speed limit in place

 

Wednesday 9th June (07:00 to 19:00) – N4 EB Lane 1 Closed between Junction 17 & 16 – 60kph Speed limit in place

 

Thursday 10th June (07:00 to 19:00) – N4 EB & WB Closed between the off and on slips at Junction 17 (both directions) – Diversion up and over at Junction

 

Friday 11th June (07:00 to 19:00) – N4 WB Closed between the off and on slips at Junction 17 and EB Lane 2 Closed – Diversion up and over at Junction
