In order to support business in Mullingar over the Christmas period Westmeath County Council wishes to announce that there will be free ‘Off Street’ parking in the County Council car parks in the town of Mullingar during the following dates:
- Saturday 9 December
- Friday 15 December
- Saturday 16 December
- Thursday 21 December
- Friday 22 December
- Saturday 23 December
It has also been agreed that the following two dates in November will be provided for free parking in Council Car Parks:
- Friday 17 November
- Friday 24 November
It should be noted that this applies only to the public car parks. Paid parking will operate as normal on the main streets of the town where parking is limited to a maximum of two hours in order to ensure a turnover of vehicles.
In addition, Lynnbury Carpark (at the rear of the County Buildings) is open for free parking every weekend.
