COMPULSORY ACQUISITION OF LAND
WESTMEATH COUNTY COUNCIL COMPULSORY PURCHASE (No. 1) ORDER, 2023, PEDESTRIAN & CYCLEWAY BRIDGE AT SAUNDERS BRIDGE, BALLINDERRY, MULLINGAR
Westmeath County Council (hereinafter referred to as “the Local Authority”) in exercise of the powers conferred upon them by THE ABOVE NAMED ACTS has made an order titled as above which is about to be submitted to An Bord Pleanála (hereinafter referred to as “the Board”) for confirmation.
If confirmed, the order will authorise the Local Authority to acquire compulsorily, including the substrata thereof, the land described in the Schedule hereto for the purposes of construction of the Pedestrian & Cycleway Bridge at Saunders Bridge and all ancillary works associated therewith in the townland of Ballinderry in County Westmeath.
Owners, lessees, and occupiers of the land described in the Schedule will receive individual written notice.
Any objection to the Compulsory Purchase Order must state in writing the grounds of objection and be sent to An Bord Pleanála, 64 Marlborough Street, Dublin 1, D01 V902, so as to reach the Board before 4.00pm on Friday 12 May 2023.
If an objection is made in respect of the said acquisition by an owner, lessee, or occupier of the lands and is not withdrawn, the Board may at its absolute discretion hold an oral hearing in relation to the matter.
