The Council has become aware that a bogus text message was sent to a member of the public purporting to be from the Council and claiming that they are in rent arrears.

 Should you receive a message similar to this please report it to your local Garda station

• Do not click any links in the message
• Do not give any personal information such as bank account details, PPS number etc
• Do contact the Council to confirm if the contents of the text are genuine
