Belvedere walks and garden will open on Tuesday May 19th from 9.30am – 8pm, last admission at 7pm to current season ticket holders only. Season tickets that have expired during the lockdown period will be accepted. At present we are not renewing or providing new tickets, and this is under review.
Season Ticket holders are advised to stay within the government guidelines and only travel within 5km of their homes for exercise. Adhere to social distancing at Belvedere while enjoying the walks.
We are all adjusting to these new changes in our lives and our workplaces. We will be continually assessing the situation, considering the health and safety of our staff and visitors and hope to welcome more people back soon.
Stay safe. Protect yourself, protect each other. See www.gov.ie for up to date information.
In line with the Government roadmap to lift Covid-19 restrictions, Westmeath County Council is happy to advise that Belvedere Park and Gardens will reopen from Tuesday next 19th May for season ticket holders.
All season ticket holders are required to fully comply with HSE Guidance on protecting themselves and others from Covid-19 and signage as erected.
In this first phase it will be open to enjoy the woodland walks, lakeshore and the stunning views including the Jealous Wall and Gothic Arch.
Other facilities in Belvedere will open as Government Guidelines and circumstances allow.
This fee paying facility adds to the many free recreational facilities in the county including parks, greenways (Royal Canal and Old Rail Trail) and lakeshore amenities that are available for the public to enjoy.
