Westmeath County Council is happy to advise that Belvedere House, Gardens and Park will reopen on the 26th April 2021, subject to Covid public health guidelines, for season ticket holders and pre-booked admission tickets.
All visitors are required to fully comply with HSE Guidance on protecting themselves and others from Covid-19 and with signage as erected.
In this first phase it will be open to enjoy the woodland walks, lakeshore and the stunning views including the Jealous Wall and Gothic Arch. Other facilities in Belvedere will open as Government Guidelines and circumstances allow.
The Chairman of the Belvedere Committee, Mayor Billy Collentine, welcomed the move as a sign that the country is emerging from this difficult period and that the public can enjoy this great facility.
This fee paying facility adds to the many free recreational facilities in the county including parks, greenways (Royal Canal and Old Rail Trail) and lakeshore amenities that are available for the public to enjoy.
