2015 pre construction
Westmeath NRO Design Team completed the planning & design process and oversaw the construction and closeout of the N52 national secondary route between Mullingar and Delvin. This 10km project was progressed in two separate contracts. Phase 1 Cloghan to Turin, opened to traffic in 2018 and Phase 2, Turin to Billistown, opened in 2020.
The NRO are currently working with the Westmeath Municipal District Office to close out residual road works items largely associated with a Stage 4 Road Safety Audit which was carried out across the scheme. It is anticipated that the residual road works will be fully completed in early 2025.
