A number of key actions in the Government’s Road Safety Strategy and the Westmeath Road Safety Action Plan provide for a particular focus and emphasis on the “protection of vulnerable road users in urban areas”. In recognition of these key actions the Westmeath County Council Traffic Calming Policy For Smaller Towns & Villages has been prepared.
