Driving Licence Information

New Driver Licensing Rules from 19th January 2013

From January 19th 2013 new EU rules relating to the licensing of drivers of some vehicles will be introduced. The changes will mostly apply to new drivers taking out either a learner permit or a full licence for the first time. The most common licence held by Irish drivers is for a motorcar, a category B licence, and this is not going to change.  Details of the changes can be viewed here on the RSA website.
