Work Matters

Work matters logo

Work Matters is a national initiative which aims to support small businesses and employment by providing support within your local library.

Working in partnership with local agencies such as Intreo, Citizens Information and Local Enterprise Office, your local library aims to support those who are seeking to change career or start their own business. With access to a broad range of resources, the library is a place to explore, learn and connect.

If you visit our libraries in Athlone, Mullingar, Castlepollard, Moate and Kilbeggan, we can help you with access to free internet and wifi access, as well as printing, photocopying and scanning.

We also have a wide range of stock- visit our branches or search the catalogue for titles relevant to employment and business development.

As part of Work Matters, your library membership gives you free access to online resources such as Borrowbox, Universal ClassTransparent Language Online and RBDigital.  To find out how to sign up for these services, visit www.westmeathcoco.ie/LibOnline

Our partner organisations are also there to help:

Intreo is a single point of contact for all employment and income supports and it offers practical, tailored employment services and supports for jobseekers and employers alike. Click here to find out what happens when you visit your local Intreo Centre.
