We may be able to help tenants or others in need of housing and with an income below a certain level, by proving loans to purchase their own home or to improve their current one.
Home Choice Loan

Information on House purchase and House Construction Loans available from the Council for first-time buyers.
Reconstruction Loan
Loans are currently available for the reconstruction, repair and improvement of houses to applicants who meet the required income limits.
Shared Ownership Scheme
Shared ownership is a scheme that facilitates access to full home ownership in two or more stages by persons who cannot afford full ownership.
Tenant Purchase Loan
This scheme enables a tenant of a local authority house to purchase the house outright or by way of shared ownership.
Affordable Housing
A scheme where the Council provides land on which new houses are built and sold at cost price, specifically for low-income buyers.
Mortgage Allowance Scheme
An allowance of up to €11,450 payable over 5 years to tenants/tenant purchasers of council housing or tenants of private houses.
Incremental Purchase Scheme
It is a scheme that allows social housing applicants/tenants to purchase a new dwelling from the Council
