Information for existing council tenants:

How is my rent calculated? What happens if I miss a payment? How can I pay my rent? How often must I pay my rent?

If you are a tenant in a Westmeath County Council home on which you pay rent, certain repairs will be carried out by us.

If you have been a tenant of Westmeath County Council for at least one year, then you may apply to the Council to buy your house.

If you have been a tenant for at least one year, then you may apply to buy your house, either outright or through shared ownership.
