Housing Options
Accommodation may be provided through a range of options including social housing, Traveller accommodation, Rental Accommodation Scheme, Long Term Leasing, Voluntary housing and Emergency accommodation.
Council Housing
Accommodation may be provided as a result of vacancies arising from within existing stock or from new properties constructed or purchased.
Emergency Accommodation
If you are threatened with homelessness, we can organise emergency accommodation on a short term basis.
Housing Assistance
This scheme enables us to improve or extend privately owned houses occupied or intended to be occupied by an approved applicant for housing.
Long Term leasing
This scheme allows the council to lease properties from the private sector to accommodate households on our housing waiting lists.
Rental Accomodation Scheme
The RAS is a scheme for people who have being receiving long-term rent supplement and who are assessed as having long term housing need.
Traveller Accommodation
We provide and manage both standard and specialist accommodation for travellers.
Voluntary Housing
The provision of rented accommodation by Government approved Voluntary Housing bodies.
