The Relove Fashion competition is a sustainable fashion competition open to all youth groups, Youthreach and secondary school aged students. Relove Fashion was developed in response to the growing environmental and social impacts of the fashion industry and the need for change. It encourages applicants to take a deeper look at how their clothing is made and challenges them to explore creative reuse options such as upcycling, repairs, alterations and mending. The competition is funded through a partnership between local authorities including Westmeath County Council and the Rediscovery Centre, Ireland’s National Centre for the Circular Economy.
2024 BEST CASUAL award went to Eilish Breheny of Our Lady’s Bower, Athlone supported by Westmeath County Council.
