Your Local Health Office is your entry point to community health and personal social services. In Westmeath your Local Health Office is based in Mullingar Primary Care Centre and can be contacted on 044 935 3700.
On arrival in Ireland you can apply for a Medical card. This card gives you access to medical services, prescription medicines and hospital care for free and you can apply online or by post. In order to qualify for one your weekly income must be under a certain amount. The HSE will complete a means test to check your income.
