Comhairle na nÓg is an initiative of the Department of Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth. We have councils in the 31 local authorities of the country, which give children and young people a voice in the development of local services, programmes and policies. Comhairle na nÓg is recognised by the government as the national structure for including the voice of children and young people in national policy-making.
